About Me

Welcome! I am Jaime Erin, and my love for horseback riding started when I was just five years old. I grew up competing in Barrel Racing and Pole Bending but also spent a lot of time in other Western events including showmanship, western pleasure and horsemanship. I also dabbled in English events including equitation and jumping. As well as lots of miles on the trail.

I have owned horses since the age of 13 when I was blessed with my first horse Bayley. She was a Bay Quarter Horse with cow and racing bloodlines and she was a very versitile horse who tought me the ropes of the barrel racing world. At 17, I went on to purchase two 3 year olds - a sorrel gelding named Oakie to be my next Barrel horse and a little dun mare named Tequila to focus on Western Pleasure and Horsemanship. In my 20s I took a break from barrel racing and tried my hand at some local Hunter Jumper events and went on to compete in Dressage for several years. Here I learned amazing skills on connection and balance with the horse and how to translate those skills to develop better athletes no matter what discipline you ride. Now in my 30s I have fallen back in love with competing in the barrel racing world! I had the opportunity to own a beautiful dun mare named Pi and we competed locally as well as at some OBRA events. Unfortunately I lost her to cancer in Dec of 2024 and our time together was cut too short. I am now competing on a young 5 year old gelding owned by one of my students and I am helping with his development as a high level barrel and poles horse.

I began my coaching career in 2018, helping a young student on her farm with a difficult mare. This welcomed me into the world and my passion for sharing my knowledge continued to develop! As a certified and insured equestrian coach, I focus on teaching students of all ages and skill levels, making sure every lesson is enjoyable and safe while helping you achieve your goals. Based in Chatsworth I travel to surrounding areas to coach my students.

I am actively involved in the local equestrian community as President of Grey County Riders and the Treasurer of Silver Spur Saddle Club, and I take pride in supporting local businesses.

Come join me in exploring the joy of riding and training horses!
